Nike Journal – The Roll Out

A roller-skating squad of self-proclaimed misfits in Long Beach, CA shows how sport has come to represent a safe haven for those who feel they don’t represent the traditional definition of what it means to be and look like an athlete. While some share childhood memories of being humiliated after crashing on roller skates, their adult return to wheels through a group of like-minded athletes has helped to wipe those days of trauma away.
